TRIBUTE: Well-known mid-South Coast pensioners will be missed

Brian and Pat were actively involved in a variety of local activities, always contributing to the vibrant community around them.

Family and friends are mourning the tragic death of Umdoni Park Retirement Village residents Brian and Pat Navias.

They were involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident near Warden on September 30 while returning from a visit to family and friends in Johannesburg.

Brian (78) hailed from Vanderbijl Park, while Pat (75) was born and raised in Cape Town.

The couple spent significant time in Cape Town, where they welcomed their two children, Bronwyn and Brent, into the world.

Later, they moved to Johannesburg, where they spent the majority of their lives building cherished memories.

In recent years, Brian and Pat found a peaceful and joyful life at Umdoni Retirement Village, where they became prominent members of the bowling community.

Brian was also passionate about golf, while Pat was an enthusiastic reader.

Both were actively involved in a variety of local activities, always contributing to the vibrant community around them.

The Navias family extends across generations. Brian and Pat are survived by their two children, Bronwyn and Brent, and their five beloved grandchildren: Matthew, Jennifer, Liam, Erin and Tanna.

Their legacy of love, community involvement and family will live on through those who knew and cherished them.

Brian and Pat will always be remembered for their kindness, generosity and the impact they had on the lives of those around them.
