Join Pink Drive fun run

This drive aims to collect much needed essential and basic hygiene items for woman and girls.

Don’t miss out on a great initiative this Saturday, October 12, when Woman of Grace host the Pink Drive 5km run/walk at St Mike’s beach from 09:00.

Registration is from 07:30, and there will be a Zumba class from 08:45.

The Pink Drive is an initiative of the Woman of Grace Pink Drive in cooperation with Bread of Heaven. It was launched in August 2024 and will run until November 30.

“Period poverty, often not spoken about, is a real problem in our society at large, with girls often missing school during their monthly period. Menstrual health is a human rights issue and not just a health one,” said Jo Naidoo, Pink Drive coordinator.

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted.
This drive aims to collect much-needed essential and basic items, as well as pamper items, for the less fortunate women and girls.

Entry fee is a donation of product or cash.

Items needed include sanitary towels, sanitary hygiene products, body wash products, haircare products, deodorants, body talc powders, face towels, skin lotions, dental care products, pamper spoils (hair combs or brushes, toothbrushes, hair accessories, lip balms, nail polish, body wash gloves, tissues, wet wipes).

Collection points: Gate Ministries Church, South Coast Mammography, Hibiscus Hospital, Hibiscus Scottburgh Hospital and KA Fitness Centre.

For further information, contact Jo Naidoo on 076 6192265 or Leanne Naidoo on 083 4149416.
