Tweni UIP installs water tank

The Umtentweni community will have access to water during times of water outages.

The Umtentweni Improvement Project (UIP) installed a permanent water tank at the Tweni Centre on Tuesday last week.

One of many projects by the UIP, the installation of the water tank, is for the community to have access to water during outages.

“This is a demonstration of what can be done if people get on board the UIP. Residents can invest R100 a month for 10 months. These funds will be used to uplift Umtentweni like the water tank project, and if we get the UIP going, there will be many more projects like this,” said Chris Connellan.

To join the UIP, forms are available at Jaxx Restaurant, Umtentweni Library and via the Umtentweni Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association Facebook page.

The UIP thanks the various sponsors involved.

Chris added that the UIP will be conducting various other projects, including beach clean-ups, verge clearing and supporting the CPF.
