Cupcake fundraiser a sweet success

Dozens of cupcakes were sold throughout the morning at Scottburgh Mall.

In celebration of National Cupcake Day, the Lions Club of Scottburgh was part of the Cupcakes of Hope fundraiser held at Scottburgh Mall last Saturday morning.

Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit company and public benefit organisation with a mission to raise awareness of childhood cancer and to raise funds for children with cancer who are in need of medical and financial assistance.

Dozens of cupcakes were sold throughout the morning, and the support from community members was tremendous.

Besides selling a variety of beautifully decorated cupcakes, members of the public also made cash donations to the cause.

The club raised just under R5000 and thanks everyone who contributed towards making it a success.

As an ever-increasing number of new patients register with Cupcakes of Hope each month, they are always looking for new ways to raise funds to help young warriors.
