Rotary’s youth leadership course in full swing

Mentors and learners from various schools and Rotarians attended a one-week leadership course.

The Rotary Club of Port Shepstone is currently held its 59th Rotary Youth Leadership Course at Port Shepstone High, with 69 Grade 11 learners from around KZN.

This collaborative exercise between most KZN Rotary clubs is a remarkable contribution to social cohesion and nation-building.

Mentors and learners from various schools and Rotarians attended a one-week leadership course, which concluded last weekend.

Grade 11 potential leaders from more than 40 KZN schools come from a wide socio-economic range, and each Rotary club sponsors two learners.

The jam-packed week challenged attendees’ values, attitudes, knowledge and skills, and leadership competencies were tested throughout the course.

The learners were given opportunities to learn and grow, not only as human beings but as leaders.
