Ready for some cold weather?

The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 2 disruptive snow warning valid for Friday and Saturday.

Strong to near gale force winds, with rough seas of 4m to 6m are likely to continue on the South Coast and in other parts of the province and country today (Thursday), at least.

There are currently strong winds being experienced with winds speeds estimated at 55km/h.

The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 2 disruptive snow warning for the next two days.

This may lead to icy roads, resulting in traffic disruptions and isolated loss of vulnerable livestock and crops.

A cold front passage over KZN today followed by a strong ridging high with a cut-off low in the upper air will result is a drop in freezing levels with widespread showers and rain across the province tomorrow (Friday), becoming scattered on Saturday.

As a result snowfalls are expected from tomorrow morning and persisting until Saturday resulting in localised impacts.
