JUST IN: Sheriff takes action over police pound rental issues [WATCH]

Today (Friday) the Sherriff started with the ejectment of all staff and property belonging to the Saps unit.

The Port Shepstone Saps Vehicle Inspection and Safeguarding Unit is without premises due to millions of rands in outstanding rent.

On Wednesday this week, the landlord obtained a warrant of ejectment from the Sheriff of the High Court in Port Shepstone which was handed to the Saps Unit on Thursday.

Today (Friday) the Sherriff started with the ejectment of all staff and property belonging to the Saps unit.

All the furniture piled up outside,

The facility, which has some 1 056 parking bays, was custom-built for the Saps in Marburg.

About 200 vehicles are currently being moved to the Port Shepstone police garage.

However, the public is still going to the premises and staff is assisting them under the difficult circumstances.
