Business forum hosts US Consulate General

Also, at the meet and greet were representatives of the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by president Dick Basday.

The US Consulate General based in Durban met with the Port Shepstone Business Forum at Umdlalo Lodge on Monday last week.

Under the leadership of chairperson, Younus Moosa, the business forum said it was proud to host representatives of the consulate for a meet and greet session.

Vijay Naidoo of the forum said the focus of the discussions was the 2025 Mandela Washington Fellowship for African leaders.

He said the fellowship programme provides an incredible opportunity for South Africans between the ages of 25 and 35 to further their personal development and leadership skills during a six-week leadership training course in the US.

Also, at the meet and greet were representatives of the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by president Dick Basday.

Naidoo said the Port Shepstone Business Forum (PSBF) and the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) representatives took the opportunity to explore potential areas of co-operation in youth and women entrepreneurship, educational development and general social upliftment projects.

“It is anticipated that a follow-up session will be held soon, to focus on economic and business opportunities. Anyone enquiring about the fellowship programme can contact either the PSBF or the SCCCI,” said Naidoo.
