Fitness fundraiser changes lives

A cheque handover was held at the Blue Marlin Hotel last Saturday with the UDF fundraising committee members, hotel representatives and the beneficiaries.

An astounding amount of R25 000 was raised at this year’s Women’s Day Zumba Fit Morning Fundraiser hosted by Ultimate Dance Fitness (UDF) at the Scottburgh Country Club.

The well-supported event raised much-needed funds for Mother of Peace Orphanage and Umzinto Primary School.

Last year’s event raised R22 330.

A cheque handover was held at the Blue Marlin Hotel last Saturday with the UDF fundraising committee members, hotel representatives and the beneficiaries.

Christine Morgan (teacher) and Ntokozo Zondo (orphanage representative) were both grateful for this donation.

They explained that this donation will definitely help better the lives of children at the school and orphanage.

UDF’s Shereen Paul said that she is glad that her team, supporters and sponsors were once again able to make an incredible donation such as this one to change lives in the community.
