Promotion for former local cop

The newly promoted Brigadier holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management, a BTech degree in Policing and is currently pursuing her studies in Information Technology.

Patricia Naidoo, a former resident of Willow Glen in Umkomaas, was recently promoted to Brigadier and has taken up the role of Provincial Head: Technology Management Services in the Northern Cape.

Naidoo enlisted in the Saps in 1994 and was stationed at Scottburgh Saps after successfully completing her basic training.

She performed duties in the Visible Policing environment from Constable to Inspector.

In 2000, she worked at the then Umzimkhulu area office at the Organisational Development and Strategic Management Component before she was promoted to Captain at Information Systems Management.

Five years later, she was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the Free State and then to Colonel in 2013 as the Provincial Commander of Information Systems in the Northern Cape.

The newly promoted Brigadier holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management, a BTech degree in Policing and is currently pursuing her studies in Information Technology.

Lt General Koliswa Otola, the Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, congratulates Naidoo on her appointment and wishes her success in her new post.

Naidoo, who is the daughter of Sally Naidoo and the late Bobby Naidoo, is described by her community as a humble, polite and committed individual who strides with discipline and professionalism.

She has made her family, colleagues and friends proud of her achievements and accomplishments.
