Fitness and fun at Women’s Day fundraiser in Scottburgh

The beneficiaries, Umzinto Primary and Mother of Peace Orphanage, were also given a platform to highlight their plight.

A Fit Morning Zumba fundraiser held at the Scottburgh Country Club on Women’s Day was not only well-supported by participants but sponsors and well-wishers, too.

The event comprised of 45 minutes of an intense and exhilarating Zumba fitness workout led by licensed instructor Shereen Paul of Ultimate Dance Fitness (UDF).

Feria Andrews, best known as Aunty Feria on TikTok, and Chris Hansraj were the vibrant MCs for the day.

The morning’s intense heat did not deter participants from joining Malcolm’s Kickfit team later, which showcased some defence moves.

In good spirits, the women challenged each other at tug-o-war, followed by Cold Iron Fits cross-fit challenge.

Trophies were awarded to all winning participants. In between activities, lucky draws were held with many prize giveaways.

An auction of a sponsored water feature and raffles assisted in the fundraising effort as well.

The beneficiaries, Umzinto Primary (represented by Christine Morgan) and Mother of Peace Orphanage (represented by Ntokozo Zondo), were also given a platform to highlight their plight.

“UDF is humbled to host this fundraising initiative, and we express our sincere gratitude to all our sponsors without whom fundraising would not be possible,” said Shereen Paul.

The sponsors are thanked for their contributions. The team looks forward to everyone’s support for the next event.
