Families enjoy church bazaar

Boerewors rolls and burgers were on sale, while children got to flex on the jumping castle.

Families came out in their numbers to support the Dutch Reformed Church Port Shepstone’s South Coast Smulfees/bazaar at Hoërskool Suid-Natal last weekend.

The church’s Johan De Beer said the church decided that it wanted to make the bazaar a social event and not a money-making one.

During the event, families enjoyed boerewors rolls and burgers that were on sale, while children got to flex on the jumping castle.

“We had everything one could wish for. We had the white elephant table with immense bargains. We also had the usual pancakes, puddings and cakes. We had everything you can expect from a church bazaar. From second-hand books, CDs and DVDs, to tractor rides and more,” said De Beer.

He added that they organised the bazaar for the church every year.
