Umbango temple hosts Maha Mariamman prayer

It will start with hawan at 08:00, thereafter bhajans will be rendered.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramaniar Temple warmly invites all to its annual Maha Mariamman prayer (porridge prayer) from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21.

The prayer will commence on July 19 with hawan at 18:30; thereafter, bhajans in praise to the Divine Mother Sathi will be rendered.

The temple will host the annual Gangai Amman Prayer on July 20. Hawan will commence at 13:30 at the temple and then proceed to My Den beach at 15:00.

The annual Maha Mariamman prayer is on July 21, with hawan starting at 08:00; thereafter, bhajans will be rendered.

Lunch will be served; all are welcome.

Garagam bookings are open to all devotees; contact Kevin Govender on 083 3753876. Those who wish to carry Garagams should bring their own brass or clay pots.
