Beach market a hit

The warm weather helped attract many beachgoers, and stalls were busy throughout the day.

The Sardine Run Market, held at Scottburgh main beach last Friday, was a super success with both locals and holidaymakers.

Children participated in water balloon throwing on the beach.

Event organiser Lorna Thomson is grateful to everyone who attended the market and helped make it a success.

She is especially grateful to SMG Sounds’ DJ Camy G and DJ Kaylen and Gold Rush Casino for the sponsorship of the sound and live entertainment with Sammy Sta,r which kept the crowd entertained.

Thanks also goes to Niksha Sevnaran from South Coast Models and Events Entertainment for the friendly and efficient service. The jumping castle was a hit from the get-go!

Lorna thanks Scottburgh beach manager Nomfundo Dlamini for ensuring a clean beach and swimming pools, as well as Umdoni Municipality for approving and supporting the event.

Scottburgh Saps members were also present and handed out educational pamphlets.

“There was something for the kids and parents, stallholders provided positive feedback, we had good sales, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful beach overall,” said Lorna.
