#Elections2024: What change do you want to see?

Some said they have had enough and would like to see this country.

When South Coasters were asked what change they would want to see after the general and provincial elections, their responses were valid and reasonable.

Some said they have had enough and would like to see this country, especially KZN in a better state with a change in governance:

Desmond Behrens – Port Shepstone

“I would like to see true, fair and honest elections. The leading party has killed this country and has lied over and over again, and I would like to see some good change.”

Zamandosi Cele – St Faiths

“I would like to see more job opportunities as there are a lot of unemployed graduates. I would also like to see more service delivery in rural areas because some areas are still neglected by the ruling government.”

Phiwe Mthinjana – Oslo Beach

“I am definitely voting because I want to see more accountable governance, irrespective of the political party, so a lot of problems that are being experienced right now are not experienced in the near future. I can see a bit of progress but it’s a little too late.”

Dominique Mamet – Port Shepstone

“I would like to see a change in unemployment. Many people are struggling terribly financially, especially after Covid-19 and one just has to look around to see them battling. I also want children to be safe in the country, be it mentally or physically.”
