Temples to observe Hanuman Jayanthi

SCH Local News | The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir will host Akand Hanuman Chalisa recitals and celebrate its 85th anniversary this Saturday, April 20.

Temples on the South Coast will observe Shri Hanuman Jayanthi on Tuesday, April 23.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple also invites all to its Chitra Paruvam Kavady Festival which started last Sunday and continues until Tuesday, April 23.

Shree Hanuman Prathanay Kootum from Durban will be rendering bhajans at the temple this Saturday, April 20, with the Obayam prayer starting at 15:00.

The temple chariot will be visiting the surrounding areas of Port Shepstone this Sunday, April 21 from 08:30. The Obayam prayer will commence at 17:00.

Kavady bookings are open until Monday, April 22. Devotees can arrange for their kavadys or milk pots at the temple.

The temple’s Chitra Paruvam Kavady is on Tuesday, April 23 with a hawan prayer at 10:00.
