Umbango temple to observe Kavady
SCH Local News | Chitra Paruvam Kavady will be observed on Tuesday, April 23.
Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple invites all to their Chitra Paruvam Kavady from this Sunday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 23.
The Kavady Obayam times for the 10 days are: flag hoisting is on Sunday, April 14, with hawan at 10:30. On Saturday, April 20, the prayer will start at 15:00 and 17:00 on Sunday, April 21. On weekdays, hawan will start at 18:00.
Kavady bookings will be open to devotees from flag hoisting day.
Shree Hanuman Prathanay Kootum from Durban will render bhajans at the temple on Saturday, April 20.
The temple’s chariot will be visiting the surrounding areas of Port Shepstone on Sunday, April 21 from 08:30.
Chitra Paruvam Kavady is on Tuesday, April 23 from 09:00. The temple will also observe Shree Hanuman Jayanthi on the same day (Tuesday) from 18:00.
