Easter market was a hit

Hundreds of people were attracted to the Scottburgh market.

The Scottburgh Easter Market on Marine Terrace last Saturday was a resounding success, according to organiser Lorna Thompson.

Similar to Scottburgh’s December Mardi Gras, the street was filled with locals and holidaymakers all getting in on the action. There were numerous stalls to visit – which sold unique crafts, food to tantalise the tastebuds, and so much more.

Marine Terrace was packed with locals and holidaymakers for the Easter market.

On the entertainment side, there was a DJ present throughout the day to keep the crowd in a cheery atmosphere.

“I would like to thank the owners of Enzo’s Restaurant for their patience and support and for providing electricity for DJ Niks,” said Lorna.

Clicks staff (seated) Nontobeko Bengu and Jeremiah Govender interacted with the public at the market.

“And thank you DJ Niks for your professionalism. I really appreciate it as you gave the market its vibe.
Lorna also thanked George Singh for allowing the market to be on part of his land, and Marius Visser and fellow bikers from Toti Mac for their support.

Although there were concerns about wet weather, the day turned out to be a super sunny success.
Lorna also thanks all the stallholders.”You made it an incredible day for everyone, and without you, Scottburgh Easter Market could not happen.”
