Residents and visitors are encouraged to take note of the following developments on Marine Drive during the long weekend.
Construction near St Mike’s bridge and the intersection of Jackson Road and Main Road in Shelly Beach will only commence after the Easter weekend.
In Margate, the section between the Sasol garage and the police station will be closed.
There will be a stop-and-go for two kilometres between the Southbroom intersection and Pistols Saloon.
Also, be aware that the road layers in the construction lane will be excavated, and it will not be possible to pull onto the construction lane in case of an emergency.
The contractor, Raubex, urges residents to be careful when exiting their driveways. They should be aware of the direction of traffic flow that they wish to join, before proceeding onto the road.
