Join egg-citing and educational hunt

There is something special about visiting the conservation centre at night.

Outdoor education group WILDED is launching its WILD Park After Dark Easter Scavenger Hunt at Crocworld Conservation Centre on Friday, March 29 from 17:00.

This is the ultimate family-friendly experience that combines the fun of Easter egg scavenging with the thrill of after-dark animal spotting.

“The WILDED team has organised a spectacular evening of activities which will not only engage the family but also introduce them to the wonder of animals and the importance of conservation,” said James Wittstock, centre manager.

Visitors can look forward to a nighttime feeding of Henry the Nile crocodile (the oldest Nile croc in captivity worldwide) and his many wives. After that will be the scavenger hunt to find Easter eggs, followed by a guided tour and hunt for scorpions around the conservation centre using UV lights.

There will also be face painting and other fun activities.

“Our wildlife conservation and education values align, and we hope that our guests leave with more than just a basket filled with delicious Easter eggs,” said Russel Symcox of WILDED.

“Giving youngsters a real-world experience in nature is the best grounding for a lifelong dedication to conservation and an appreciation for the natural world.”
