Nature reserve to reopen with family fun day

The event will help raise funds for TC Robertson Nature Reserve.

A Family Fun Day will celebrate the grand reopening of Scottburgh’s TC Robertson Nature Reserve on Sunday, March 31.

For the past few weeks, Anton and Gerda Faul (new management) have been busy with maintenance work to get the reserve in tip-top shape after it was temporarily closed for some time.

However, the Fauls thought there could be no better way to celebrate the opening than with a big Family Fun Day – which will also generate funds to help with the upkeep.

The event will be held at the nature reserve from 09:00 to 17:00.

Visitors can expect to see some great local arts and crafts at the market, food stalls and handmade and homemade products. The popular Mongoose Tea Garden will be open too.

And yes, there will be entertainment! Children can look forward to some great fun including face painting and an Easter egg hunt.

The Family Fun Day will also welcome some environmental guest speakers and there will be live music.
The entrance fee is R15 for adults and R10 for children under 12 years. To find out more, contact Gerda on 082 6227699 or Anton on 073 8655003.
