Sneak peek for quilters

Hibiscus Quilters Guild members look forward to the South African International Quilt Festival in July.

The Hibiscus Quilters Guild held its monthly meeting recently and members were given an opportunity to view items which will be the subject of the various classes at the 22nd South African International Quilt Festival (SAQ Festival), to be held in Pietermaritzburg in July.

The chairperson of SAQ Festival, Leanne Stewart, brought along the most beautiful samples of the actual items, that quilters will be taught to make.

These varied from small to large quilts and many in between, portraying the different skills and levels of work. Bright colours to muted greys, they were all there.

The guild members viewed the displays and were able to book for the wide range of classes.
A great deal of interest was shown and lively chatter ensued as the women discussed the various classes they would like attend.

The SAQ Festival will be held at Epworth School, Pietermaritzburg from July 4 to 9.
