Colourful Holi soon

Two temple organisations will observe the festival of colours.

Holi is a popular and significant Hindu festival which is celebrated as colours, love and spring, as well as the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna.

Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it commemorates the victory of Vishnu as Narasimha over Hiranyakashipu.

Holi comprises dancing, singing and throwing of colourful powder, and the Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society will observe it at the temple on Sunday, March 24 at 16:00.

They invite all sister organisations and the public to attend. For more information contact Singh Samsunder on 083 3008382.

* The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir will host its Holi celebration at the mandir on Saturday, March 23 at 17:00. Entertainment will be provided by Shavina Badrinath, Saroop Suthurgam and Sheppie Nagara. For more information contact Veena Lakhan on 067 068 8282.
