Monthly night market fundraises for conservancy

This market contributes to the protection of the community’s environmental wellbeing.

There was a great turnout at the Munster Night Market, which was held at the Munster Bowling Club recently.

The market is a fundraiser for the Munster Conservancy, spearheaded by Professor Anthony Balcomb, which contributes to the protection of the community’s environmental wellbeing.

It takes place on the first Friday of every month in the hall of the bowling club between 16:00 and 20:00, and has been actively operating since November 2022. In turn, the club also benefits from the increased foot traffic.

The market was started by Elize Scott and her husband, Henry, who are passionate about the area and its preservation.

Elize explained that the community ensures a good turnout every month, even in the rain. Every table in the outside area was filled, where the crowd was treated to live music by Nearly Famous.

The market typically hosts between 10 to 15 vendors, all local artists, food producers and crafters. Elize and the community encourage visitors to support the conservancy, while being rewarded with a fun-filled evening, great food and local crafts.

Elize Scott is the proud organiser of the monthly Munster Night Market.
