Tie your laces for cancer walk

So far some 200 tickets have been sold!

The Wild Coast Sun is set to host the Lace-Up for Cancer drive this Saturday, February 17.
And, so far some 200 tickets have been sold!

The legacy walk/race will start at the Wild Coast Sun at 07:00. Activities including aqua zumba, yoga, zumba, fusion dance, garden meditation and acupuncture take place from 09:00 to 13:00. The entry fee is R50 per person.

While the Lace Up event will take place at the Wild Coast Sun, the Art by the Sea artists will paint In Pink in aid of cancer at the Refillery Art Day, opposite the Southbroom robots on Saturday, February 17, from 09:00 to 12:00 noon.

Madeleine Pretorius, the provincial director of South African Animal Cancer Association (SAACA) encouraged everyone to get involved, as a portion of the funds will be ploughed back into the community.

“Lace Up is held once a year in Cape Town on February 4. The CEO of Cancer Alliance challenged me to replicate one in KZN! And the challenge is officially on!,” she said.

“I can’t thank the community, the sponsors and the SAACA ambassadors enough, for getting involved and backing this event. There will also be a TV crew covering the event,” she said.

Tickets can be bought at the gate or for further information contact Madeleine on 081 0538430 or madeleine@saaca.org
