Ayodhya temple’s consecration to be celebrated

The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in Port Shepstone will host a special programme to honour the historical moment.

To celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime historical moment of the inauguration and consecration of the Shree Raam Mandir in Ayodhya, India on Monday, January 22, the Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in Port Shepstone will hold a special get together on Sunday, January 21, to commemorate the event.

The celebration will be held in conjunction with the Hindu Unity Forum of South Africa Lower South Coast Region and incorporating all Hindu organisations in the area.

“We shall share pieces of the ‘pearls and gems’ of Shree Raam with all those who attend,” said the Mandir’s chairperson Veena Lakhan.

The programme includes a float procession and street chanting between 08:00 and 10:00 which will start at Shree Raam Narayan Mandir and end at the Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir.
Thereafter the programme continues with an invocation prayer, Ramayan recitals and chants, Maha yajna, bhajans by various organisations and groups, devotional dance items, and slide shows of the Shree Raam Mandir in Ayodhya from 11:00. After the lighting of diyas, the event will conclude with aarti in the evening.
Lunch, supper and tea and snacks will be served.
