Food, Fun and Adventure: Seven South Coast beaches enjoy Blue Flag pilot status

Five of the beaches are located in Umdoni Local Municipality.

The South Coast has seven beaches in the Blue Flag Pilot programme, indicating continued commitment to conservation, health, and safety.

The KZN South Coast Blue Flag Pilot Beaches 2023/2024 are:

1. Pennington Beach – Umdoni Municipality

2. Rocky Bay Beach – Umdoni Municipality

3. Preston Beach – Umdoni Municipality

4. Umthwalume Beach – Umdoni Municipality

5. Scottburgh Beach – Umdoni Municipality

6. St Michael’s Beach – Ray Nkonyeni Municipality

7. Ramsgate Beach – Ray Nkonyeni Municipality
