Festive treat for 300 children

The children received gifts, snacks and reading material, and older kids received bibles and stationery packs.

Non-profit, Ignite Revolution hosted a Christmas party for 300 children in Merlewood.

The organisation’s Jessica Naicker said the beautiful smiles of the youngsters were enough to fill the heart and make it all worth it.

“It was a blessed time reminding the beautiful babies of the true meaning of Christmas, reminding them of their worth. The children received gifts, snacks and reading material, and older kids received bibles and stationery packs.”

She said they are so grateful to all the sponsors who made it possible.

“A special thanks to the sponsors who contributed toys for this distribution. You are the difference, the salt of the earth, we value you. A huge thank you also to the team that assisted in packaging and distributing the toys and treats.

The response from the community leaders, ministers and parents was rewarding and encouraging.
