Beach buggies spread Christmas cheer

Residents of Anerley Haven thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

For 85-year-old Margie Todd it was her first time riding in a beach buggy.

All smiles is Sharlene Steenberg.

As the saying goes, ‘it’s never too late to start something new’ and for Margie, a resident at Anerley Haven, she described her spin around the neighbourhood as ‘lovely’.

Sisters Miane and Michelle de Waal enjoy the outing.

Members from the KZN South Coast Buggies group treated residents from Anerley Haven to a delightful visit.
In true Christmas spirit, the group decorated all their beach buggies with fun Christmas decor, and despite the rain drove from Southcoast Mall to the home to give the elderly residents hampers and an afternoon of singing and music, and a cooked Sunday lunch.

Lots of ‘buggy fun’ had by the Scheepers brothers, Matthew and Jaden.

Jaco Mostert of KZN South Coast Buggies said that every year they choose a different charity to support.
