Merlewood Secondary held its annual awards day last Monday with teachers, learners, parents, and guest speakers in attendance.
Learners were acknowledged for their stellar efforts throughout the year.
These high-flyers have set the bar high academically and in terms of their conduct. The school also acknowledged the efforts of budding leaders who served as the 2023 Representative Council for Learners.
In addition to academics and leadership, the school awarded learners for their participation in extra-curriculars with Elona Nkosiyane receiving a sports award for her athletic abilities.
Merlewood is exceptionally pleased with the results of Grade 12 learner Kholosa Cele who scooped the coveted Dux award. The school is grateful to all the staff members who made this event a success and wishes learners continued success in the coming year.
