Music concert raises R3 000 for SPCA

The event was attended by music lovers, friends and family.

The Forest Music School and Sun Valley came together for a live music concert in Pumula recently, to raise funds for the Lower South Coast SPCA.

The event was attended by music lovers, friends and family and over R3 000 was raised for the animal welfare organisation.

The audience enjoyed a magical mix of timeless music from classical melodies to the sultry allure of jazz, and the vibrant rhythms of African beats performed by talented local music students (violinists, pianists, clarinettists, flautists and vocals) under the direction of Susan Henderson.

Henderson who is also the vice-chairperson of the SPCA said she is thankful to Sun Valley for the beautiful venue and organisation of the concert, and to her pupils for overcoming their stage fright for a good cause.

She highlighted that it was a good day with good vibes and thanked the audience for supporting the fundraiser and cheering the debuting music students through their first concert.
