Khanya Hospice was invited to a meeting at the Widenham Retirement Village last week where staff were surprised with a R7 500 donation.
The residents were thanked for their generosity, as well as Bubs Archibald who helped a lot with this fundraiser.
“Although there are lots of people living in the retirement village, they are very actively involved in reaching out to the community that they are living in,” explained Neil McDonald of hospice.
“Thank you to one and all who so kindly contributed to this wonderful donation – it could not have come at a better time.”
