Proceeds from the savoury sale and raffle tickets are intended to go directly to the South Coast Hospice.

Port Shepstone Regional Hospital’s Pharmacy Department has shown its support for Cancer Awareness Month by selling savouries to raise funds for local hospice services.

Hospital spokesperson Phumza Morai said that the management commended the Pharmacy Department for their dedication to improving the lives of those in their community.
Overall R5000 was raised.

” We hope their efforts will inspire others to support those affected by cancer. All the proceeds from the savoury sale and raffle tickets are intended to go directly to the South Coast Hospice, as this organisation plays a pivotal role in the South Coast community by offering vital care and support to cancer patients and their families. The funds will help hospice continue its essential work, including providing palliative care, counselling and assistance to cancer patients and their loved ones,” Morai added.

Three raffle winners, Neela Moodley, Thabisile Ngobe and Nomusa Ngeleka received beautiful pampering hampers, all sponsored by the pharmacy staff.
