Two dead in collision on R61 near Margate
Several people were seriously injured, treated on the scene and taken to hospital.
Two people succumbed to fatal injuries in a two-vehicle collision on the R61 near Margate last night.
Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to reports of the incident.
On arrival, emergency services found that a car and bakkie had been involved in a collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that five patients had sustained serious injuries. They were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
However, two people had sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.
