Songbird releases EP

Ndlovukazi Ngilande did try kickstarting her music career on Idols SA, however she did not make it past her audition, but today she is turning her dream into a reality.

Young, versatile artist Ndlovukazi Ngilande of Gcilima is proud to have released her debut Extended Play (EP) ‘Uthando Luyisipho’, comprising four love songs.

Ndlovukazi said her first song, ’99 She is Proud’ was released in March, and on September 9 she dropped her EP.

“The EP songs, Themba lami, Putsununu, Engihamba Naye and Thando are all related to love. However, when I started singing at the age of eight and having grown up in a family of music, I can sing gospel, R&B, Soul, and Afro Pop. I have performed in a church choir and school choir,” said Ngilande.

She said she hasn’t had the opportunity to perform solo on stage, however she is hoping to launch her EP live soon.

“I have approached some local venues and we are in talks on when I can launch. I look up to artists like Beyonce, Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson,” Nglinade added.

She did try kickstarting her music career on Idols SA, however did not make it past her audition.

“This did not stop me. I knew I could sing and that one day I would make my dream a reality. My short-term goal is to find a recording label and thereafter release a full album. My long-term goal is to one day own a recording label. My music speaks to all age groups as it speaks the language of love.

Her EP is available on streaming sites.
