3,2,1… Oppi Kus here we come

Bring your family and friends, as a supervised children’s play area will be provided.

The team from Round Table Margate 46 is ready to host the third annual Oppi Kus Musiekfees at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds this weekend, July 7 and 8.

The large tent was erected at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds in Uvongo on Tuesday. There are limited tickets available and this event is not one to be missed.

Get your dancing shoes on as there is an exciting line-up of upcountry artists for the two-day festival. Each day presents seven top headline acts with some big name artists such as Steve Hofmeyr, Jakkie Louw, Appel, Ricus Nel and Robbie Wessels, to name a few.

There has been a slight change to Saturday’s line-up with local Margate band, Element 3 now playing on Friday from 22:00. Be sure to check out the two-day gig guide in the Herald on page seven. Bring your family and friends, as a supervised children’s play area will be provided.

Further, the Winter Knights drive is happening together with Halfway Toyota. There will be a donation box manned by them and blankets will be available to rent each evening – and they ask that these be placed back in the donations box afterwards.

Doors open at 15:00 on Friday, July 7 and 13:00 on Saturday, July 8. Parking is available at the sports ground. The fee is R30 which is charged by the South Coast Warriors Rugby Club with all proceeds to go to the rugby club.
Follow the Oppi Kus Facebook page for more information. Tickets are available at itickets.co.za or OK Liquor outlets in Uvongo, Margate and Southbroom (cash only).
