Wild, wet weather blows section of roof off popular Tweni pub [PICS and VIDEO]

It is advised that you drive carefully on the wet roads, or better yet, stay at home.

The South Coast has been hit with heavy rain and wind during the last 24 hours or so.

Trees have been blown over, rooves of buildings have collapsed, some roads are closed and certain places have flooded.

And the rain doesn’t look like it’s giving up at this stage (Tuesday morning).

An Umtentweni resident described last night’s winds as a ‘mini tornado’ .

The South African Weather Services released a Yellow Level 2 warning, meaning disruptive rain which may lead to localised flooding.

This is expected over the Wild Coast area of the Eastern Cape and south-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

In Uvongo, the road is closed on the corner of Queen Elizabeth and Lilliecrona Boulevard.

Drive with caution as roads are wet and slippery.
