Oppi Kus set to ROCK

There is an exciting line-up of upcountry artists for the two-day music festival.

The third annual Oppi Kus Musiekfees, organised by Round Table Margate No.46, takes place at Douglas Mitchell Sports Grounds on the weekend of July 7 and 8.

Shane Woolley, one of the Oppi Kus convenors, said ticket sales are ahead of last year but they need all the support possible, to make this event another huge success. The profits made from the festival will be used towards uplifting community projects on the South Coast.

Get your dancing shoes on, as there is an exciting line-up of upcountry artists for the two-day music festival. Each day presents seven top headline acts with some big name artists such as Steve Hofmeyr, Jakkie Louw, Appel, Ricus Nel and Robbie Wessels, to name a few. Bring your family and friends, as a supervised children’s play area will be provided.

Round Table Margate No.46 will host a small stand for their Winter Knights project, which is a home-grown and hands-on Round Table Southern Africa Project that encompasses a campaign in aid of those less fortunate during the cold winter months by collecting blankets, clothes and non-perishable foods.

At this stand, you will be able to donate blankets and non-perishable food items for this project.
Round Table Margate was chartered in 1952. Ever since, the group of passionate young men try and assist worthy causes. The Table is registered with SARS for income tax exemption and has obtained a Public Benefit Organisation certificate. They currently have 11 members. Their success is only possible with the gracious sponsorship and support of businesses and the community.

Doors open at 15:00 on Friday, July 7 and 13:00 on Saturday, July 8.
