Curing winter chills with Stonecroft

All in all, it was a wonderful morning of fellowship, fashion and the power of God was shared by many.

Woolworths wowed Stonecroft guests with its beautiful, wide, range of winter fashion. Models Elvira Venter, Heather Greyling and Yvonne Booysen added their sometimes humorous, sometimes sassy but at all times, outgoing personal flair to each garment they featured.

A big thank you to Rani Naiker, Sindy Ngidi and Kyle Moodley from Shelly Beach Woolworths for enabling the hosting of this fun fashion show.

From trench coats to puffer jackets, ponchos to fur shawls, all these were shown and enhanced by berets, hats, scarves and bags to dress one single black dress and ankle boots.

On the wild side, Heather featured the in vogue animal print, looking fabulous in both casual and up-market look, fit for any formal or informal occasion, especially when she modeled a leopard print fur short jacket. Very posh.
Elvira, well versed in dance, made modeling the knitwear and range of jeans look as natural as the day is long.
Who won’t be relaxed and comfortable in these warm winter must haves? Even the soft pink pyjamas were modeled with pizzazz.

Appropriately decorated tables, complete with hat and bag, were covered with a spread of delicious bite-sized eats catered for by the Shelly Methodist Church WA. This is always a treat for the guests.
In her guest speaker talk, Lynn Alho took guests to what was once their home for three years in a place called Zimpeto in Mozambique.

Lynn Alho shares about her ministry time in Mozambique.

After spending many a fishing trip there, and handing out surplus food from the over catered camps to some needy locals, they began to realise the need for help in this then wartorn country.
Their church put them in contact with Iris Ministries to assist at a children’s home for six months. This turned into three years.

The need was great and the helpers few but with a kind heart, the ability to speak Portuguese and strong conviction that this is where God needed them to be, they mustered on, bringing some love, compassion and care into these children’s lives.
