One person died in a crash on the N2 near Umtentweni earlier this afternoon.
KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the incident and found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision.
Spokesperson, Chantelle Botha said paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found one occupant had sustained fatal injuries, and had succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived
One patient was seriously injured and was treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
