Sai Centre donates trees to school

Trees are vital since they stabilise the soil and give life to the world's wildlife.

Members of the Port Shepstone Sai Centre donated four indigenous trees which were planted at Marburg Primary school recently, namely, Umzimbeeti, Anthoceliesta, Tarbanaemontana and Trichilia Dreg.

They highlighted that trees contribute to the environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.

Trees are vital since they stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide materials for tools and shelter.

The Sai group is thanked for their contribution towards reducing the ‘greenhouse’ effect by removing carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen which is an absolute necessity.
