Promotion: Shopper drives off in red bakkie on Valentine’s Day

He said the car came at the perfect time.

It is often said that you always win at Build It!

While this phrase is normally synonymous with price and quality products, this week it took a momentous turn after Sphelele Gumede from Umtentweni, drove away in a new Nissan NP200 bakkie!

South Coast Build It sales representative, Sandile Shozi, encouraged Gumede to complete the entry form on the last day of the competition. All he had to do was spend R500 or more in store, to stand a chance of driving off in one of 10 bakkies.

Gumede took ownership of his red Nissan NP200 bakkie on Valentine’s Day.

“I am very happy. This is my first time ever to win something and it had to be a car. I thank the Build It team for their encouragement and for always welcoming me with smiles every time I come to the store,” said Gumede

He said the car came at the perfect time.

“In December I was faced with a huge challenge which resulted in me selling one of my cars, and today the car has been replaced.”
Hector Macleod, owner of the South Coast Group of stores compromising of Port Edward, Margate, South Coast (Marburg) and Umkomaas shared in Gumede’s delight.

“The winner is selected from 84 stores in the province. He was truly fortunate to have been selected and we are so grateful to give back to our customers. This is the first car giveaway for the South Coast Group and I am thrilled it was him.”

He thanked loyal customers for their support over the years. “Without our customers, we have no business. Their satisfaction is of utmost importance to us.”
