A robber was stopped in his tracks after a quick-thinking neighbour shot him in the leg.
Lazer 911 Security dispatch centre responded to a call for assistance on the emergency WhatsApp group of a break-in, in progress on Surtees Road in Umtentweni at around 11:00 this morning.
Lazer 911’s Armed Response Units were immediately dispatched and on arrival arrested a man with stolen goods who was trying to flee the premises, after being shot in the leg by the neighbour.
The intruder was handed over to the Saps for further investigation.
