New wheelchair needed for double amputee

His daily trip to the beach is his only outlet.

Well-known Colin Mackrory is a a double amputee who lives in Umtentweni.

Every single day, Colin travels in his wheelchair to Tweni beach. He does this by crossing the R102 near the traffic intersection at JTV Centre.

After the beach, he visits his friends for a snack and a chat at the centre.

Unfortunately his wheelchair is now broken and irreparable after several repairs.

There is an option to buy a very good second hand one, but it costs R10 000 and still needs the battery to be fitted.
