IFP councillor sworn in at Ugu

Ugu speaker Cllr Sizwe Ngcobo welcomed Cllr Mazubane and wished her well in her new responsibilities.

Ugu District Municipality has sworn in a new councillor.

Ntompela Octavia Mazubane (49) from Betania was sworn in at the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Council Chambers last Thursday
She is replacing the late IFP councillor, Mpilo Mteshane.

Mazubane joins the municipality as a Proportional Representative (PR) councillor.

Ugu speaker Cllr Sizwe Ngcobo welcomed Cllr Mazubane and wished her well in her new responsibilities.

In a statement released by the municipality, Cllr Mazubane swore under oath to serve the communities of Ugu with diligence.
She vowed to carry forward the directive given to her by the district’s council in line with the municipality’s vision and mission.
