Join in 16 Days of Activism walk

The Gamalakhe community will walk to create awareness on violence against women and child abuse.

Gamalakhe police and the Gamalakhe Community Policing Forum invite the community to join them at a walk, to commemorate 16 Days of Activism against Women and Child Abuse on Saturday, December 3 at 08:00.

The global theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism which runs from November 25 to December 10 is “Unite! Activism to end violence against women and girls”.

The event is in partnership with concerned members of Gamalakhe, as well as Operation Sukuma Sakhe which is aimed at initiatives to combat crimes against women and children.

Themed ‘Not in my Name’ those attending the event are encouraged to wear black T-shirts and join in the walk which will start at Gamalakhe TB Molefe sports ground around Ray Nkonyeni Road, and return to the grounds for the rest of the programme.
