Tweni gets a splash of paint

The Umtentweni Residents and Ratepayers Association are beautifying the area.

The Umtentweni Residents and Ratepayers Association (URRA) are turning heads.

The team has five exciting projects they want to complete by the end of the year, in and around the suburb.

Excited about their latest project are (from left) Chris Connellan, Petra Rickson, Pat de Korte, Derrick Morris and Ashley Bester of the URRA. A big thanks to Brett and Debra Robins and other sponsors who have made this project possible.

All of the projects are in line with beautifying the suburb.

Already they are receiving high praise for the revamp of the bridge, and the lovely ‘Welcome to Umtentweni’ sign.

They will continue working closely with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, to clear and tidy up the bush (keeping the natural indigenous trees, etc.) along the R102, near the Tweni Centre.

The also want to landscape a section of Commercial Road.

The URRA members (from left) Ashley Bester, Derrick Morris, Petra Rickson, Chris Connellan and Tercia Harlen of JTV Centre, who have made this project possible. Ray Nkonyeni Municipality has to be thanked for clearing the bush along the R102.

Chairman Derrick Morris thanked the community for being so financially generous and making these projects possible.
