Umdoni Municipality’s mayor Sibongile Khathi and speaker Mbali Luthuli joined Ugu District Municipality’s speaker, Sizwe Ngcobo along with Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza at a multi-disciplinary roadblock in Umzinto last week.
This was done as part of a road safety campaign for October, as it’s Transport Month.
The operation is part of provincial government’s efforts to ensure police visibility, reduction in fatalities on the road, as well as urging motorists to abide by the rules and regulations.
