Margate was the seaside town of choice for the Wing Riders 37th annual Wing Fling flagship event this year.
Some 78 members from all over South Africa gather in one place for one week every year to ride their Gold Wings together, have lots of fun and visit with other members who have become friends over the years.
The members had a full week of planned activities in and around the coast. Last Monday they had a mass ride to Shelly Beach and back, and then on the Tuesday the riders had their bikes on show for the public at Margate main beach. On Wednesday they drove out to Oribi Gorge. On Thursday they rode to Durban and to Port Edward on Friday.
Wing Riders SA, which was established in 1983 prides itself on riding the best touring motorcycles ever made. These bikes and trikes are not only amazing machines to own and ride, but are absolute showstoppers when displayed in public.
The Honda Gold Wing is known internationally as ‘the bike that makes you smile’.
Wing Riders SA also pride itself on being the best that bikers can be and that it sets an example to all bikers, irrespective of what they choose to ride.
