Kasified in Gamalakhe will be hosting a Colour Run and Fun Walk as part of the township’s Heritage Day celebrations on Saturday, September 24.
Event organiser Msawakhe Khowa said the run will be a 5.5km distance, starting at KwaMasengeni Taxi Rank, just outside the Gamalakhe sports field, all around and back to the starting point.
“The run and walk will be on the main road, Ray Nkonyeni Road, however registration will be at Kasified also known as the old bar at 07:30 with the run starting at 08:00.
“The walk will be a 1km distance also starting at the rank,” Khowa added.
He said the purpose is for the community to come together and celebrate the heritage morning in unity.
“After the run and walk we will have an aerobics session at Kasified and some stalls by local traders will be open. Children are also welcome as we will have some entertainment for them, a jumping castle and some live music by local artists.”
He encouraged all participants to wear white T-shirts on the day.
